sunday restday

This morning I woke up in my sunny bedroom with some of my lovely "college roommates" (back from, you know, my old college days) Smiller and Melange who came to visit. We caffeinated and ate bran muffins on the porch with an awesome breeze (cool front last night!), and met my family for an afternoon on the boat. Sun is happy.

Random internet research find of the day:
Brandon Dickerson is a Christian filmmaker who has also pastored the Hollywood church Ecclesia. He's done lots of cool stuff, including a documentary on human trafficking and tons of music videos that any youth group kid has seen playing in the background of church camp (One of my personal old school ska favorites). On his website of work, where he also labels his genres of work as crunch, sparkle, pop, and snap, he describes what he does as:

"we like to craft three-minutes soul bits of visual architecture to music."

I may look at music videos differently from now on.

I'm off to Lowe's for some more supply buying. Here's what I'm building/painting this week:

thanks the dude! i'm so glad you're back in full force in the blogging world. ross & i loved the shout out in your last post. can't wait to live vicariously though you. mostly can't wait to see you again verrry soon! there are some cool bars here, so maybe part of chuvals end-of-camp-and-abstenance-of-drinking-party can take place here. maybe. just think about it :)
