This child attended the training seminar with his mother. For a chunk of the morning, he entertained himself by playing architect:
Each of the 8 small pieces of wood on that chair behind was picked up, examined, and placed carefully into formation. The structure was then disassembled and loaded into the wheelbarrow (for imaginary transport, no doubt). And soon as the last piece made it in, the first piece immediately came back out to become the cornerstone of his next great creation, and a new pile began to slowly and methodically take shape.
The funny thing was, this process repeated about 17 times. And I just watched his intensely concentrating face as his little hands built similar piles of old sticks, but his little mind built a whole new building, house, skyscaper, airplane, boat, marketplace, metropolis everytime.
Remember when we used to have imaginations like that?
