Today we were off.
We slept in, visited a Kenyan swim/sports club for Jean's birthday, bought little Andrew a milkshake at the Java House, read some Catcher in the Rye, and had a little Photobooth fun:

But the real gem of today came this evening. We had about 20 people over for dinner. The guests were in town for a meeting of Amahoro, an organization designed to connect emerging leaders from all over Africa. The board has been meeting in Nairobi this weekend to start planning for next year's continental meeting happening here. People were crowded into the living room from all different countries, languages, churches, skin colors, but with the commonality of having experienced Christ's love and wanting to understand what it looks look to bring that love to marginalized peoples. A "true community" moment.
